Mapping our way to and through Hubbard Park.
Even the rain and cool temperatures couldn't stop our class and Miss Closter's class from having fun learning how to use our new mapping skills to explore a new route to Hubbard Park, unscramble a destination scavenger hunt, play two nature games, climb the park tower for a "birds eye view" of Montpelier and travel (some as their Vermont Animals - red squirrel, garter snake, barred owl and butterfly) a variety of routes to the shelter for lunch by the fire... what an amazing group of nature investigators and learners we have the pleasure of teaching. Enjoy the collection of photos below, and talk with your child about how maps such as our Montpelier town map and Hubbard Park map are useful tools. Keep the maps from home coming to school - we are enjoying an exploration of a variety of places and learning of just as many purposes via these map shares.
