Your children have been telling, writing and sharing some amazing stories. We continue to focus on writing personal narratives in Writers Workshop with an emphasis on a small moment students have experienced. Children have been practicing telling their stories across five fingers, and sharing these stories orally with a writing partner before beginning to write. "You never lose a story because you always have one in your pocket!" Try telling a small moment story to your child across five fingers, and s/he can do the same to you. Then go write it - have fun!!
